Fertility

Fertility enhancement approved by your doctor supported by science.

The potential causes for infertility in women and men are numerous. If you have been experiencing infertility it is not uncommon to feel stressed and anxious. Stress is not the cause of infertility but can contribute to your difficulty of achieving pregnancy. There are many hurdles to achieving pregnancy when infertility is involved and stress is one of them. However, stress is one you can control!

According to a recent Harvard Medical school study “60-90 percent of doctor visits involve stress related complaints.”

Stress is a powerful force that can affect the body’s physiology and the psychology in adverse ways. The reproductive system is a biological system that is in a delicate balance. Psychological stress can affect your ability to get pregnant on several levels. Stress can affect the regulation of hormonal levels by the inhibition of the hypothalamus, or pituitary and adrenal responses can be changed due to the over activation of the hypothalamus. Altering the pituitary response can have dramatic effects on the hormonal balance necessary for ovulation, fertilization, tubal functioning or even successful implantation. Stress manifests in the body with the following symptoms.

1.  Headaches
2.  Digestive problems
3.  Sleep disturbances
4.  Weight gain or loss
5.  Shortness of breath
6.  Muscle tension or pain
7.  Decreased sex drive
8.  Confusion
9.  Seeing only the negative
10.Difficulty concentrating
11. Inability to make decisions
12. Anxiety
13. Feeling overwhelmed
14. Irritability
15. Lack of Confidence

Are you experiencing any of these symptoms?

Discovering that you have infertility issues is stressful, your mind races searching for solutions and answers. Uncertainty and perhaps even fear may creep into your thoughts. You begin to constantly think about your infertility, searching the internet, reading publications, joining support groups in search for answers, resolutions and peace of mind to your infertility issue. With so much intensity and energy placed on finding answers to your infertility issue it is no wonder there is a degree of stress and anxiety.

Treating infertility adds anxiety and stress to something that seems so natural, yet out of reach.  You are prodded, poked, injected and operated on, your thoughts are consumed by the process and procedures. The sex becomes scheduled and mechanical and your hopes rise and plumit with each passing month. You wonder, Why me? How could this be happening to me? What if I can’t get pregnant?

“No one has proved that feelings of distress actually cause infertility, but there are good reasons to think so. Women with a history of depression are twice as likely to suffer from the problem-and research has shown that distressed women are less responsive to treatment. In one recent trial, high-tech fertility procedures were 93% less effective in highly distressed women than in those reporting less emotional upset.”

What are the answers, remedies or solutions for infertility?

Sometimes there are specific answers to infertility problems that have concrete solutions. Often times the diagnosis for an infertility issue is “Unexplained Infertility” with no definitive answers. Remedies and solutions vary from medical intervention, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Remedies, Message Therapy and Hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy encompasses modalities such as Visualization, Hypnosis and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Fertility Hypnosis is based on Psychobiology. Psychobiology “is the scientific study of mental functioning and behavior in relation to other biological processes, or put another way, the effects of cognition, emotions and experience on animal physiology. Psychobiology also studies the biology of behavior and mental processes.” By relaxing the body and mind relief from symptoms is enhanced. In the case of infertility, the heightened stress and anxiety that the infertility client is experiencing is greatly reduced or eliminated allowing the body to rebalance, detoxify negative thoughts of stress and anxiety and prepare the body for fertilization. When the client has mastered these techniques, relief is available whenever and wherever the client is.

Exactly how powerful is the mind and it’s effect on the physical body? On the conscious level We use 12% of the mind, whereas on the subconscious level we use 88%. The conscious mind (12%) responds and reacts to the subconscious mind (88%) programming. Much like a computer’s operating system, the computer will operate according to it’s programming. The body and conscious mind are based on the programming of the subconscious mind.

According to a recent Israeli study by professor Eliahu Levitas from the Soroka Hospital in Beersheva, “stress can cause complications during the transfer that can put the procedure (IVF) at risk” Employing relaxants and tranquilizers has not worked well according to professor Levitas. The Israeli Study - the first of its kind – showed “that the hypnotized women resulted in double the amount of pregnancies of those that were not hypnotized. Performing embryo transfer under hypnosis may significantly contribute to an increased clinical pregnancy rate,” Levitas told the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology conference in Berlin. The Hypnotherapists of Solutions by FourSight have been trained to utilize Imagery (visualization),  Fertility Hypnosis (recognized by the American Medical Association, American Psychological Association and the U.S National Institutes of Health), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)  and Coaching in a unique method called CFP (Conceptual Fertility Process).

At Solutions by FourSight we believe that stress in conjunction with unresolved issues contributes to infertility blocks that can be conquered by you to increase your success rate for pregnancy. As a result of working with many couples over the years who were experiencing infertility, our Hypnotherapists have found that unresolved issues and stress compounded the infertility problem. Issues represent stressors involving needs that are incompatible or represent disagreeable alternatives that remain unresolved.

Attaining a relaxed and calm state with a perspective that resolves the underling issue brings balance and well being into alignment.  Resolution of issues along with stress reduction aligns the body to prepare for conception and a better quality of life. By removing Infertility blocks wellness is achieved and pregnancy rates are increased. The Conceptual Fertility Process embodies this concept and belief.

Our team of Hypnotherapists at Solutions by FourSight have worked with patients from many well known and respected fertility clinics in Southern California. To mention a few but  not limited to Southern California Reproductive Center, Huntington Reproductive Centers, Fertility & Surgical Associates of California, Sher Institutes for Reproductive Medicine and Pacific Fertility Center.
